Preparation

With any overland trip, there is much more to sort out than you initially imagine. The 4x4 is an obvious one, your itinerary and of course making sure you have a valid passport, but then the work really starts. We have slit the preparation in several sections to make this easier to read.

The preparation time is dedicated to key areas:
1. Route/Itinerary
2. Countries background information (as complete as possible)
3. Budget available compared with forecasted expenses
4. Based on the above, selection of the 4x4
5. Equipment for the car and personal kit
6. Website (to publish blogs on the way)
7. Have fun all the way
